APS basics (FAQ)
- What is APS? An Admission Points Score calculated from your NSC results. Each university can define APS differently.
- What is FPS? A Faculty Points Score used by some faculties to rank applicants. At UCT, FPS can vary by faculty and can incorporate NBTs for some programmes.
- How do I improve my APS? If you are short, focus on high-impact subjects first (usually Maths, Physical Sciences and languages). Use past papers to practise, then re-check eligibility.
