The ATP covers Listening and Speaking, Reading and Viewing, Writing and Presenting, and Language Structures and Conventions integrated across terms.
Term 1 includes essays (reflective, narrative, argumentative, discursive, descriptive, visual stimuli) and transactional texts such as letters, CV and cover letter, reports, reviews, articles, speeches, dialogues, interviews and obituaries.
Paper 1 covers language in context (comprehension, summary, advertisement, cartoon, prose). Paper 2 covers literature (seen poems, unseen poem, novel and drama).
Trial exams include Paper 1 (Language in context), Paper 2 (Literature), and Paper 3 (Writing: essay and transactional writing).
Term 4 focuses on exam preparation using past papers for language in context, literature and writing, followed by the final NSC examinations.
